Unifil: The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced on Thursday that it had recorded the firing of 113 Israeli projectiles towards Lebanese territory the previous day, noting that this represents the highest number of projectiles recorded since June 21.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, UNIFIL stated that peacekeepers continue to monitor daily violations of Lebanese airspace and military activities on the ground. The peacekeeping force emphasized the ongoing commitment to maintaining its operational pace and engaging with both parties to help reduce tensions.
UNIFIL also mentioned that while the intensity of the violence remains significantly lower than in previous months, the overall situation continues to be fragile. The peacekeeping force is actively monitoring developments and providing reports to the Security Council to address the situation.
