Washington:US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has highlighted the critical importance of maintaining security in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb Strait for the stability of global trade.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rubio asserted that securing supply chains is a fundamental pillar for achieving economic growth.

At the conclusion of the G20 meeting, Rubio emphasized the necessity of keeping trade routes through these strategic straits secure and open for international navigation. He also stressed the importance of strengthening and expanding supply chains for critical minerals, which he identified as a priority for safeguarding the economic future, ensuring supply stability, and supporting global growth.
