Washington Imposes Sanctions on Iranian Officials and Entities

Washington: The US Treasury Department has announced a new round of sanctions targeting Iran. These measures include sanctions on 12 individuals and 13 entities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the individuals facing sanctions include prominent figures such as Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and Nematollah Bagheri, commander of the Lorestan Province Revolutionary Guard. Other key figures affected by the sanctions are Mohammad Reza Hashemi Far, Lorestan Police Chief, Yadollah Bouali, commander of the Fajr Revolutionary Guard in Fars Province, and Azizollah Maleki, Fars Province Police Chief.

The sanctions are part of ongoing efforts by Washington to exert pressure on Tehran. The move targets both individuals and entities deemed to be involved in activities contrary to US interests and aims to limit their access to international financial systems.
