Basra: The General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring predicted today, Thursday, that the highest temperatures will reach 51 degrees Celsius in the governorates of Basra, Maysan, and Dhi Qar, according to measurements taken at weather monitoring stations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governorates of Najaf and Karbala recorded 49 degrees Celsius, while the temperature reached 48 degrees in Baghdad, Babylon, Wasit, Diyala, Salah al-Din, and Diwaniyah. Anbar recorded 47 degrees, Kirkuk 46 degrees, Nineveh 45 degrees, Erbil 43 degrees, and Dohuk 42 degrees. Sulaymaniyah recorded the lowest temperature at 41 degrees Celsius.
