BAGHDAD, IRAQ – Dozens of US soldiers left Iraq for Afghanistan last week, Western sources said.

“Washington has begun to reduce its forces in Iraq following the defeat of Daesh organization,” Sky News quoted Western contractors at an alliance base in Iraq as saying.

“Dozens of American soldiers have left on daily flights to Afghanistan last week and US weapons and equipment have also been transferred,” they added.

It is mentioned that thousands of American soldiers and advisers are present in several areas of Iraq as part of the international coalition forces that supported Iraq in its war against Daesh terrorists.
